Education

The Faculty of Science and Engineering's academic staff are researching cutting edge science and technology, meaning your learning will be ready for the future. Over the next four years the Faculty is investing over £25 million into its buildings, equipment and teaching practices to ensure that our students are taught using the most advanced teaching methods in first-class laboratories.

The Faculty is host to four UK National Teaching Fellows as well as other awards for teaching innovations. These awards recognise Queen Mary's commitment to the learning and teaching of our students.

The growth and future employability of our students is an important priority for the Faculty. We are creating more programmes with year abroad opportunities and also innovative industrial placement years, and many are accredited by professional bodies. All programmes support our seven career enhancing Graduate Attributes and we work closely with national and international employers to provide Queen Mary students with study and employment opportunities.

We also take our enthusiasm for science and engineering out into schools and science festivals, and the Faculty is home to number of exciting projects such as SEPnet, CS4FN, Our-Space, Illusioneering and the recent More Maths Grads initiative.
