This autumn, the SU-Eatable Life project has run experiments across five sites in the UK this autumn, including Queen Mary. In The Curve Restaurant on our Mile End Campus, the most sustainable dish on the menu (in terms of carbon emissions and water use) called the One Planet Plate has been highlighted each day.

To help evaluate the success of the SU-Eatable LIFE project, we'd encourage all users of The Curve this semester to share their experience with this 5-minute survey which closes on 10th December.

We hope that you've enjoyed the One Planet Plates offered in The Curve restaurant this term and that you've learned a bit about sustainable food along the way. As thanks for filling out the survey, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a do-it-yourself gourmet pizza kit worth £23. You can take part in the survey on this page.

At the close of the experiments, we will determine how much carbon and water was reduced through food choices alone. Customers at The Curve restaurant were also encouraged to download the greenApes app and complete fun and engaging challenges to earn points which can be spent towards a variety of prizes.

SU-Eatable Life is a European Commission’s LIFE funded project aiming to reduce the environmental impact of our food choices by engaging UK and EU citizens to adopt a healthier and more sustainable diet. The project is managed by a partnership between the Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition, Wageningen University, the SRA, and greenApes.
