Student and staff volunteers went to Victoria Park for a tree maintenance workshop in celebration of National Tree Week.
Queen Mary worked with Trees for Cities, Netcompany and Westminster University to support the maintenance of saplings at Victoria Park, London's oldest public park.
Volunteers relocated leaves so they could biodegrade, added nutrients to the soil, removed cages from trees that had grown out of them, added mulch to protect the roots and gave them some much-needed watering for the winter.
