To find out further information, please call us on 020 7882 5042.This 50th anniversary reunion is for 1966 starters who qualified in 1971 or 1972 from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, as well as Oxbridge clinical entrants.There is a planned series of programmes throughout the afternoon, which are all optional to attend, followed by a drinks reception and dinner in the evening at the Charterhouse. The plan for the afternoon is as follows (subject to minor alterations):
13.30: Meet/Registration Peggy Turner Room, North Wing Barts: Collect ID badges
14.00: Historic guided tour: Barts & Smithfield. (Optional - approx. 1 hr) Charge: £7, £6 for seniors & student. Meet outside Henry VIII gate
10.00 - 16.00: Museum & Archivists at Barts Open 10.00-16.00. No admission fee: donations welcome. Entrance in the North Wing under the arch leading to the square. Barts the Great has an admission fee of £4 (£3.50 concessions)
15.15: Barts Hospital Tour: The new Hospital & Cardiac Centre. Meet in the square with Dr Edmund Rowland
16.15: Tea in the Shield Café/ Bar, Dawson (College) Hall, Charterhouse Square
16.30: Barts Heritage – Past & Future talk from Sir Marcus Setchell
17.15: Tour of Charterhouse Square with Dawson (College) Hall Visit to Smithfield Pubs
18.30: Reception: Charterhouse, Sutton’s Hospital Talk on the history of The Charterhouse : The Master
19.45: Dinner
22.30: Festivities end / Carriages
