The aim of SIA co-curriculars is to enhance the learning experience of students on SIA’s dispute resolution courses. Students get to hear different perspectives on issues that they studied during the LLM Programme. Importantly, they nurture the relationships that the SIA – scheduled to celebrate its 40th Anniversary in autumn 2025 – has built with the wider arbitration community. In this co-curricular, the first one for this academic year, Prof Bankole Sodipo SAN looked back at the past 50 years of ICSID arbitration affecting African states. Significant cases against African were also be spotlighted.
