Dr Shatta is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Module Lead for the Aesthetic Medicine MSc and PGDip programmes at Queen Mary. He is a qualified general practitioner, skin surgeon and aesthetic doctor with wide experience in these fields. Dr Shatta obtained his medical degree (MD) from Damascus University in 2002. He completed his basic surgical training in 2009 and has been a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) since. He trained in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in England for five years. In 2015, he obtained his Master of Science qualification in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (MSc), from Queen Mary University of London, with Distinction. He did General Practice training in England and completed this in 2016. He has been a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) since. Dr Shatta is fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). He is also a member of The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).
