Mohsin graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2020 with triple distinctions (top 10 per cent of cohort), Weitzmann Prize in Cardiology, and Strauss Prize in Psychological Medicine. He was awarded the Peter Enzor/Sir John Zochonis Scholarship to complete a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience.
Following basic medical training at the Royal Free Hospital, he began work at the Wingate Institute of Neurogastroenterology and Royal London Hospital, alongside Prof. Qasim Aziz. He is presently at the NIHR Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre, where he is supported by Prof. Maura Corsetti. As part of his NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship, Mohsin was awarded the 2024 International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Diseases Preceptorship Award to complete a fellowship in neurogastroenterology with Prof. Adil E. Bharucha at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA.
Mohsin’s interests lie at the intersection of psychology, medicine, and clinical nutrition. In particular, he is committed to improving outcomes for people living with disorders of gut-brain interaction e.g. irritable bowel syndrome, functional constipation, and cyclical vomiting syndrome. His research and clinical activities are driven by a desire to do better for people living with such conditions, many of whom experience significantly impaired quality of life.
