He qualified from St George’s, University of London and completed his surgical training in South West Thames / Kent, Surrey and Sussex. He was awarded an MD(Res) and attained his FRCS in 2015. He successfully completed a Colorectal Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Melbourne, Australia). Following this, he obtained the Resident Surgical Officer (RSO) post at St Mark’s Hospital. He has special interests in locally advanced and recurrent rectal cancer and pouch surgery. He is the lead for Colorectal Surgery and has developed exenteration and laparoscopic ileoanal J pouch services. He led the successful bid for Robotic Surgery at Queen's Hospital and King George's Hospital and chairs the robotic surgery programme. He has instated a complex colorectal cancer service around pelvic exenterations and HIPEC. He has also led the pouch service to receive ACPGBI accreditation in 2023 and performs robotic pouch surgery.
