Paul has wide experience of deployed military care having operated remotely in submarines, providing front-line medical support on commando operations overseas, and as a consultant on the MERT in Afghanistan. His duties have also encompassed humanitarian and disaster response duties in Africa and the Caribbean, and supporting overland expeditions. He is the lead for the resuscitation service within Barts Health NHS Trust and co-founded the British Cardiac Intervention Society’s cardiac arrest group. He works as a military HEMS consultant at East Anglian Air Ambulance, where he forms part of the research and innovation team.
