Shefali Rajpopat qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ medical school in 1999. She trained in Dermatology at Barts and The London and the Royal Free NHS Trusts and at St John’s Institute of Dermatology. In 2010 she was appointed Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Cutaneous Research and Honorary Consultant in Dermatology at Whipps Cross University Hospital. She is a course Director for the International Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology.

Teaching
Shefali is the Programme Director for the PGDip Clinical Dermatology – a web-based, distance learning postgraduate medical education programme. She also participates in undergraduate teaching at Queen Mary and postgraduate teaching in Primary Care.

Shefali spent 2 years at the Centre for Cutaneous Research working with Professor David Kelsell and Professor Edel O’Toole on harlequin ichthyosis. She has an ongoing academic interest in medical education and is a course Director for the International Diploma in Clinical Dermatology.
