Professor Andy Prendergast on being awarded a studentship for the PhD Programme in Global Health Research in Africa, and to Professor Dan Penningon for a grant of £316,680.10 from Barts and The London Charity for his project 'Understanding ethnicity-associated immunopathogenesis in sarcoidosis'.

A total of 19 applications have been submitted in February 2023 for a total value of £6,863,497.14. Five large grant applications have been submitted to the Medical Research Council (MRC), the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), the NIHR and the US National MS Society (US National Multiple Sclerosis Society). Other grant applications have gone through different funders like the US Department of the Army, the Wellcome Trust, the Leverhulme Trust, the Royal College of Surgeons, the Rosetrees Trust, the Dunhill Medical Trust (DMT), Asahi Kasei Pharma Corporation, Oracle Corporation Limited, Altos Labs and Financial Fairness Trust.
