Dear Lab staff
Bio-Rad are going to be doing a demo of a newer Chemidoc unit during the week of Monday 15 Jan- Friday 19 Jan and require some assistance from regular users. They would like to test out this unit and be able to show comparisons against the old Chemidoc that we have on site. Lab management would be very appreciative if regular users can spare some time to assist in this testing by providing some blots and gels as shown below. This would require 2 copies of each of the things below so they can run on both machines.
1. Chemiluminescence blot of lysate of your choice in serial dilution incubated with existing primary/secondary-HRP pair2. Blot transferred with Stain-Free activated lysate in serial dilution (no blocking or immunodetection)3. Agarose gel with DNA in serial dilution with safe (blue light excitable) dye, such as SYBR safe stain

An imaging specialist from Bio-rad will be onsite during the week to provide futher details on this newer Chemidoc system.
