Brain Tumour Research needs your help to make a difference for patients and their loved ones.
Queen Mary University of London is proud to host a Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence directed by Professor Silvia Marino. The Centre delivers world leading research and is building the ‘critical mass’ of expertise needed to accelerate the journey to find a cure.
One in three people know someone affected by a brain tumour. What’s more, this devastating disease kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to brain tumours since records began in 2002.
The charity is running a petition calling on the Government to ring-fence £110 million of current and new funding to kick-start an increase in the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million a year by 2028. Brain Tumour Research needs your help to reach 100,000 signatures by Tuesday 31 October 2023 in the hope of prompting a parliamentary debate. Please sign the petition now and share it as widely as you can to help reach that goal.
