Call for Abstracts and Sign ups: Postgrad Research Showcase on LGBTQ+ History

Are you working on some aspect of LGBT+ history in your research? Keen to add to your CV, or just to meet other researchers working on similar topics at Queen Mary?

Published:

The Students’ Union is looking for postgraduate taught and research students, working on some aspect of LGBT+ History, for the next Postgrad Research Showcase on Thursday 29 February, 5-7pm, in the Postgraduate Common Room (Floor 7 in the Graduate Centre, Mile End campus). The panel of short 15-minute talks will be followed by a Q&A and a mixer, after which we will head to a local pub for those who wish to join us. As part of the QMSU LGBTQ+ History Month, these talks will aim to showcase some of the fascinating areas of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer history that our postgraduates are currently researching.

All are welcome to attend. Sign up for the event.

If you would like to present your work, please send a talk title and a very brief abstract of 100 words to l.freeman-jones@qmul.ac.uk by the deadline of Friday 16 February.

All are welcome to submit abstracts, especially those just starting their courses, or wanting practice presenting their work before larger conferences. If you are unsure whether your research falls within this remit, but would like to present your work, please do still submit an abstract for consideration and we will do our best to accommodate you.
