FAO all staff
From Monday 19 September 2022 until Friday 28 October 2022, the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) will be conducting a remote data collection exercise regarding the photocopying and printing published works. This information helps the CLA to pay the authors, publishers and visual artists whose work is being copied. Our role is an integral and much valued part of this process. Some of the creators who, as a result of this exercise, will receive royalties for the re-use of their work may even be staff at our university!
During this time, the following actions will need to be carried out by all Queen Mary staff:
Please find attached below the spreadsheet which each school/department will need to complete with a list of the main websites which they use:

Please note that this exercise is only for staff members to carry out, not students. Research copying undertaken by an individual for private study or personal use is also not included. However, copying made during the course of group or commercial research work is included in the exercise. By commercial, we mean research that is funded or partly funded by a third party (commerce, industry, public corporations).
If you have any questions about the above, please send an email to library-copyright@qmul.ac.uk.
Thank you for your participation in this project.
