Council elections - invitation to vote

Dear Colleague,

The ballot is now open for the 2023 staff elections to Council, the governing body of Queen Mary.

Two positions are available and all staff are eligible to cast one ballot for each position.

Academic staff member (all faculties)

The candidates for the position of academic staff member (all faculties) are:

  1. Liam Campling, Professor of International Business and Development, School of Business and Management
  2. Jonathan Hays, Professor of Physics, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences
  3. Sean McConville, Professor of Law and Public Policy, School of Law
  4. Anthony Phillips, Reader in Physics and Chemistry of Materials, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences
  5. Richard Pickersgill, Professor of Structural Biology, School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences
  6. Rehan Shah, Lecturer in Mathematics and Engineering Education, School of Engineering and Materials Science
  7. Tim Warner, Dean for Postgraduate Research and Director of the Doctoral College, Blizard Institute

Non-academic staff member

The candidates for the position of non-academic staff member are:

  3. Mark Farenden, Director of Strategy Delivery, Strategy Delivery Office

  5. Nadir Khan, Connectivity Architect, ITS/Enterprise Architecture
  6. Natalie McCloskey, Institute Manager, Blizard Institute
