Call for applications: Interim Devices Working Group (IDWG) at the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is looking to appoint twelve professional members by end of 2022 in a variety of specialisms.
The Interim Devices Working Group is being formed to provide expert advice regarding decisions on the safety, performance, benefits and risks of devices in use in the United Kingdom healthcare system. This group will be in existence prior to the launch of a statutory committee under the Medicines and Medical Devices Act 2021.
The MHRA is looking for a broad range of skills, background and experiences for the Working Group which reflects the diversity of products from the medical technology sector.
The MHRA is seeking clinical, scientific and technical experts / leaders in their field from the following specialisms:
- Oncology, Haematology, Thrombotic Disease
- Allergy, immune system and Inflammatory Disorders
- Vaccines and Infectious Diseases
- Skin, Senses, Movement and Pain
- Psychiatric Disorders, Cognition, Mental Health and CNS
- Musculoskeletal, Trauma and Cosmetic
- Respiratory, Imaging and Critical Care
- Cardiovascular
- Metabolic and Renal Systems
- Gastrointestinal System, Nutrition, Endocrine and Fertility
- Software as a medical device
- In-vitro diagnostics e.g. laboratory professional with a proven track record and interest in pathology and In-vitro diagnostics
