Dear Students,

QMUL are offering students the opportunity to take part in a group coaching project run by the University Mentoring Organisation (UMO).

We are offering a FREE taster session to students – refreshments included!

Venue: LG1 – G.O. Jones, Mile End Campus

- Who it is aimed at: Students who identify from a diverse ethnic background.

- What is involved: Tackling difficulties in university related to your race, ethnicity and culture.

- What is the benefit for students:

  • An opportunity to work as a group with a specialist coach from a similar ethnic background, to explore barriers you have experienced including race, identity etc.
  • A safe and validating space to build a sense of belonging and allyship to promote self-acceptance and a positive self-image.
  • A specific time and place where you can refocus and trust you will be heard, developing skills to better manage the structural bias of academia.
  • To rebuild your self-confidence, unlock your talents, build resilience and proactively be motivated to create change.

Come to the taster session to find out:

  1. What group coaching is
