Encouraging Supervisor Applications for Research & Innovation Awards

The Research & Innovation Awards nominations are now open, and we are taking this as an opportunity to encourage more Supervisor applications.

Published:

Prospective applicants are urged to see the Supervisor Award as an opportunity to shine. It provides a platform to showcase your exceptional roles in guiding and mentoring research talent, emphasising impactful contributions to shaping the research landscape at Queen Mary. Participation in this award enables individuals to join a prestigious list of honoured Supervisors, thereby making a significant difference in the academic community.

Here's how potential applicants can get involved:

  • Self-Nomination: Do not hesitate to put yourselves forward, as your dedication deserves acknowledgment.
  • Easy Process: The application process is simple and quick, involving submission through a short online form.
  • Anonymised Endorsement: Applicants should include a brief, compulsory, and anonymized endorsement from a colleague or student.

The role of a Supervisor is vital, and the aim is to ensure your impact is celebrated. The deadline for applications is Friday 1 March 2024.

Applicants are also encouraged to explore the eight other categories open to ALL eligible Queen Mary staff. Let the Supervisor Award be the highlight among these categories:

  • Research Supervisor (individual applications only)
  • Early Career Researcher (individual applications only)
  • Interdisciplinary Research Team (team applications only)
  • Technical Support (individual applications only)
  • Research Support (team or individual)
