FAO: all TR/TS/PI academics
The FMD Exec Board recently agreed to trial a new process for collecting papers for the future Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2028 exercise:
This is a call for all (TR/TS/PI) academics to be part of testing this new process of data collection and collation using Elements, which if successful is likely to be rolled out across the University.
For this first trial, data collection will be limited to all academics (TR/TS/PI). It is very possible that following publication of the final guidance, individuals included for REF2028 will be broader but for this test we are limiting activity to a defined demographic.
We would like to collect original research articles published as of January 2021 (see guidance documents attached) or click on the link here to access documents. We request all academics to log into Elements and accept all publications awaiting approval. Please flag any papers that you feel is likely to be rated 4*. Please see guidance attached for * rating.
Please ensure that you flag your selected research papers on Elements by the 3rd January 2024.
Please use your college ID and password for logging into Elements. Once you log into Elements, please check that any pending outputs have been claimed as they won’t appear in the eligible list if they are shown as pending. For step-by-step guidance on how to use Elements for this process, please see guidance documents/short videos attached. If you have any further queries, please contact your Institute Research Manager or the faculty research manager who will be happy to assist you.
Thank you all for supporting us in this endeavour.
