The NIHR Senior Investigator Award is a personal award in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contribution to applied health, public health or social care research, as well as their leadership role within the NIHR. NIHR are welcoming applicants from diverse professional backgrounds, including, but not limited to, those with an interest in social care research, and from nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, pharmacists, healthcare scientists and methodologists.

NIHR Senior Investigators are some of the most outstanding leaders of applied health and social care research. They provide visible leadership, support the strategic priorities of the NIHR and are expected to contribute significantly to the NIHR as senior leaders, and act as ambassadors and role models.

NIHR Senior Investigators will receive a 4-year award on the recommendation of an independent Selection Committee: three subcommittees will support the process, to ensure that applications are reviewed by experts in appropriate areas.

Details of the award and application process can be found at https://www.nihr.ac.uk/funding/nihr-senior-investigator-award/33811

If you require any further information, advice or guidance please contact the NIHR on 0113 532 8410 or academy-awards@nihr.ac.uk
