On Tuesday 7 February, HRH Princess Beatrice will be visiting the Blizard Institute as the new Patron of the British Skin Foundation (BSF).
She will meet key members of Queen Mary leadership and research staff, BSF representatives and patients. She will be hosted by the Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research, and the BSF.
The Princess is due to arrive at 1.30pm. As part of the visit, there will be a short laboratory tour taking place at approximately 1.40pm, where The Princess will meet BSF-funded researchers and see some of the research work taking place. This will be followed by a reception in Neuron Pod at approximately 2.10pm with a poster display of current BSF-funded research. The Princess is due to depart at 3pm. All timings are subject to change.
It is important that we keep work bays, overhead lockers and other areas neat and tidy in anticipation of the visit. Please help us to do this by tidying your areas and disposing of or removing all clutter.
There will be further guidance closer to the date, including which areas of the building will be inaccessible during the visit. We do not anticipate significant disruption in the office areas or laboratories during this time.
