HSS-HDRC Interdisciplinary Health Research Event: Wednesday 31 January

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, together with
Health Determinants Research Collaborations (HDRC) warmly invites colleagues from HSS and FMD to join an interdisciplinary event

Published:

Designed to bring together researchers from across the two faculties and HDRC to explore potential synergies around health-related research, network with colleagues with an interest in health research, and to discuss opportunities for future collaboration.

The HDRC are funded by National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and they are designed to help local councils become ‘research active’ and to embed a culture of evidence-based decision making. The HDRC work is a project that is co-produced with community residents, the Tower Hamlets council and Queen Mary University, University of East London and London Metropolitan University.

HDRC are particularly interested in research themes which also speak to HSS research, including healthy homes, economic and social injustice (including employment), food security; access to green and blue space; transport methods; and climate change.

The event will include a presentation on HDRC and the opportunity to learn about the health-related research of colleagues across the humanities, social and medical sciences and to make interdisciplinary connections.

All welcome. Please use this link to register to attend.  Please note the room change: this event will now take place in room 0.14, IQ East (Formerly Scape), which is just across the road from the main Mile End Campus (no. 64 on this map).
