We have been notified that there is cyber security threat affecting a library [LibWebP] used in Google Chrome and other Chrome based browsers, which affects other applications and is a risk to QM data security.
Whilst we are in the process of patching this, for our managed estate, users with unmanaged/self-managed machine are encouraged to install patches as soon as possible. If they/you are unsure of how to do this please contact the Service Desk:

We advise that staff make themselves aware of the cyber security guidelines: https://www.its.qmul.ac.uk/cybersecurity/ and always report anything that looks suspicious, via report-phishing@qmul.ac.uk or to the servicedesk.
