A Message From Matthew Blythin, Recruitment Partner (FMD)
Dear colleagues,
Following a change in November last year to all Job Pack Templates; these changes being in relation to our EDI statement and an update of the hyperlinks to the benefits we offer, please note that it is now only these templates that should be used.
I have included a link to the HR pages where the templates are held. Academic Job Pack Templates - Human Resources (qmul.ac.uk)
For clarification, there is a specific section for FMD Clinical Academic Roles.
For clarification, you should use the standard Job Pack template for PS, technical roles etc
Please also note that for roles where you use the standard Job Pack or where you need to use a non FMD Clinical Academic template, you will need to add in the generic information about FMD and The Citizenship information (that only FMD use). These are already included in the FMD Clinical Academic Job Packs so can be copied from these. I am working on potential solutions to address this.
Whilst I very much recognise there is ease in holding Job Packs and associated information locally in Institutes and then submitting when required, from a central recruitment perspective, a Queen Mary consistency perspective and for our engagement and brand recognition with potential candidates / users of Queen Mary in the future, it is important that any role details are only entered into a current template that sits on the pages highlighted above.
Please note that this should be done each time a JP is required as there may be further tweaks to the centrally controlled information, that might not need wider communication (e.g changes to statistics regarding Queen Mary)
To ensure that we meet these needs as a recruitment function and, more importantly to support you by ensuring old JPs don't 'fall through the gap', please note that between now and Friday March 10th , any new role created in IGrasp where the older style JP template is included or any request to readvertise a role (and where the older style JP template was previously used), your dedicated Recruitment Administrator or a member of the Recruitment Team will highlight the need for you to amend this and resubmit. Once this has been received, then the Tier sign off will take place / the readvertisement will take place.
I feel that the above, alongside this communication to all FMD staff, should cover all the bases and mitigate any further publication of old information, however I would welcome any local checking and reminder cascading of this information to minimise the impact on your roles and on the Recruitment Team.
Please also note:
Any questions, queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via m.blythin@qmul.ac.uk
Many thanks in advance for your support.
Matthew
