Information Classification Policy & Training

We are writing to remind you of Queen Mary’s guidance on information storage.

Published:

Its purpose is to help strengthen the security of research and the protection of personal data in the realms of academia.

The Information Storage Matrix indicates the appropriate data storage platform(s), for your data based on the security classification of the data concerned.  It is contained within QM’s Information Classification Policy (DG09), which you can familiarise yourselves with here. It is particularly insightful for researchers.

Due to the sensitivity of much of Queen Mary’s research, please ensure that you undertake the accompanying mandatory training on the Information Storage Matrix, available here. We ask that you please complete it by the end of January 2024 to keep your research data safe and secure.
