Information Classification Policy & Training

I am writing with an update and clarification regarding the Queen Mary
information storage guidance communicated in my email of 2 Jan 2024.

Published:

We identified an error regarding the permissions for the Data Safe Haven within the Information storage Matrix (as part of policy DG09).  The Data Safe Haven had been inaccurately identified as forbidden for file storage.  We sincerely apologise for the confusion this must have caused. We ask that you review the correct version of the Information Storage Governance, or at a glance here.

If you have already completed and passed the mandatory training, based on the initial communication, we want to reassure you that you do not need to redo the training due to this error. However, we kindly ask you to be aware of this correction and review the updated Information Storage Governance

For those who have not yet completed the mandatory training on the Information Storage Governance, we strongly encourage you to undertake it by the end of January 2024. It is available here. This training is crucial for understanding the appropriate data storage platforms, especially in the context of sensitive research data.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out to us. Your commitment to maintaining the security and integrity of our research data is highly valued.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation in this matter.
