Instructions for hybrid meetings in Spikey (Yealink Instructions)

A new system for online/hybrid meetings has now been installed in Spikey. Please follow these instructions if you plan to hold hybrid meetings in this room. We hope that this will be an improvement on the current system, and we will be monitoring its effectiveness before rolling out to Large Cloud and Small Cloud.

Instructions for using the new Yealink system:

  1. Invite the room into your meeting as a participant. [Room] Blizard Spikey (the room does not allow overlapping bookings - please be sure to check if the room accepted your invitation in your mailbox)
  2. Once in the room, turn on the display and select PC on the button controller located on the lectern
  3. Your meeting will be shown on the large display as well as the Touch Panel on the desk.
  4. To start your meeting, press the 'Join' button on the touch panel and the room will then start and join the meeting.
  5. If you would like to share content, you will need to bring your laptop, join the same meeting and use the share functionality through teams on your device.

It is important to remember to invite the room as a participant to your meeting. If this is not done, there will not be a join button to start the meeting from the room.

The room PC has been removed, therefore all users will be required to bring their laptop to the room if you need to share or work on documents.
