Introducing Queen Mary presents

We are delighted to announce the launch of Queen Mary presents, a new home for Queen Mary's public facing event activities.

Published:

Through Queen Mary presents, we’ll be delivering a broad series of events to our audiences that demonstrate the University’s role as a leader of pioneering research, as an expert curator of vital discussions and as an instigator for lively debates that tackle the big questions of the day: the challenges that impact us all.

Queen Mary presents intends to become a recognisable platform for the University, creating a way for our diverse community of alumni, ground-breaking researchers, and passionate changemakers to deliver thought-provoking discussions and share valuable insights.

United under the masterbrand, the University’s event activity will have greater consistency of brand and creative execution. It will allow us to elevate our events approach, create a digital legacy for our content, and reach more people than ever – across new and established formats and channels.

Who is it for and how does it benefit my events?

Any staff member or team organising public facing events can apply to use the brand. Our aim is to encourage the university’s wider community to ‘tag’ their events as part of Queen Mary presents to bring public facing events and supporting activity under one roof.

It is a home for all kinds of events, whether they are in person, online or in-demand, including but not limited to:

  •     Lectures / lecture series
  •     Inaugural lectures
  •     Honorary Graduate events
  •     Conferences
  •     Panel debates
  •     Festivals
  •     Exhibition (physical and virtual)
  •     Podcasts / podcast series
  •     Event recordings / recorded content

Promoting events under the brand will elevate the profile of speakers, engage new audiences and do more with your event. Dependent on the Tier your event falls in (see how do I get involved below).

How do I get involved?

Our aim is to work collectively with many of you to build this public facing activity platform.
The platform will host:

  •     Events generated and centrally managed by the Events and Ceremony Team
  •     Events generated by other teams

Staff members are encouraged to apply to use the brand for their activity through an application process. Bids can be made for stand-alone or series of activity.
