I am delighted to invite staff and students in the Blizard Institute to Queen Mary Libraries 2030: Celebrations and Conversations
A major event to mark the formal completion of the Mile End Library transformation project, to showcase the very best of today’s Library Services, and to engage in conversations which will help us to shape the future of our collections, services and spaces (including the Whitechapel and West Smithfield Libraries).
Special guests will include:Sir Roly Keating, CEO of the British Library and Serena-Amani Al Jabbar, President of Queen Mary Students’ Union
Activities will include:Tours of the Library, and discussions on the role of the Library in learning and research, the digital shift, and the development of library spaces.**We are particularly keen to engage with members of the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry in a special session called “Transforming the Whitechapel and West Smithfield libraries: stakeholder discussion”, which will be running at 4.20pm**
