Join us for this exciting event at Barts Pathology Museum, Robin Brook Centre, West Smithfield. Discover what is already happening in the Institute, Faculty and University and how arts and humanities might play a vital role in shaping our new MBBS curriculum.
Engage with colleagues, students past and present and renowned speakers Giskin Day (Course Lead BSc in Medical Science with Humanities, Philosophy and Law, Imperial) and Flora Smyth Zahra (Clinical Snr Lecturer in Interdisciplinarity and Innovation, Dental Institute, Kings), participate in interactive creative workshops, and explore the intersection of creativity and healthcare in your own teaching
The focus will be on what we could in our own MB BS curriculum here in FMD (including exploring what we already do), as well as looking at opportunities in intercalation, and there will be time to share ideas and discuss what might work in particular modules or areas, and how the arts and humanities can be used in medical education and the journey to becoming a doctor.
