Join Dr Williams to talk about challenges in maternal and neonatal healthcare & leadership roles and advocating for women in science.
We are delighted to host Dr Pauline Williams CBE, FMedSci as our next EDI Seminar speaker.
Dr Williams is a pharmaceutical physician, having recently stepped down as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Health R&D at GlaxoSmithKline. She is a Council member of the UK Medical Research Council and a member of the MRC Major Investments Committee that is critical for strategy-setting and governance of MRC funding schemes and serves on a number of advisory boards for UK and international science strategy.
She has over 30 years of experience as an R&D leader during which she pioneered models of collaboration between industry and academia. She has led discovery and clinical development programs to tackle diseases disproportionately impacting the world’s poorest populations, including maternal and neonatal health, and has acted as a leading advocate of gender equity in R&D.
