Last chance to nominate a courageous researcher for John Maddox Prize - closing 1 May 23

The deadline of 1 May 2023 for nominations for the 2023 John Maddox Prize is fast approaching.

Published:

If you know someone who you think would make a worthy winner, please don’t miss the opportunity to nominate a courageous researcher.

To submit a nomination for the prize you can either submit a letter in support of your nomination to johnmaddoxprize@senseaboutscience.org or fill out the online form linked below.

The Award, a partnership between the Journal Nature and Sense about Science, is the only global initiative of its kind to recognise individuals who have shown courage and integrity in standing up for sound science and evidence.

We welcome nominations for individuals from all disciplines and from around the world – please read about past winners for inspiration. There is a separate prize recognising early career researchers, please see our website for full details of judging criteria.

The Maddox Prize is a unique platform for researchers subjected to intimidation and hostility, so please share the opportunity to nominate or be nominated with colleagues and your networks. You can also tweet your support and download our social media graphics and newsletter content to share.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
