Learner Engagement Analytics Briefing Session

Please read on if you are interested to know more about Learner Engagement Analytics (LEA)

Published:

LEA was launched at Queen Mary last year through a series of school and institute briefings covering how educators could access data on learning habits from their learners through the university data dashboard QEngage. The intention is for data to show when individual learner engagement dips so that proactive interventions can be implemented to help get them back on track. As last year was very much a development year, schools and institutes have moved at different paces on their use of LEA over the last 12-months so we wanted to reach out and offer some support in this area for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Dr. Usman Naeem from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is providing academic leadership to Queen Mary’s use of Learner Engagement Analytics (LEA), covering the following elements:

  • Setting up QMPlus for the most accurate data ‘markers’
  • How to get the most out of the LEA QEngage system
  • Sharing practice on interventions for low learner engagement
  • What’s happening in your school and recruiting colleagues to the Queen Mary LEA Community of Practice (CoP)
  • Signposting to further support (LEA website, TELT and IT sessions)

There is a briefing session, which can be accessed online on Wednesday the 7th of September from 2.30pm-4pm BST. Please let me know if you would like to attend and I will liaise with QM Academy to send you a link.
