Dear Lab users,
To the person/ people who have placed bags in the red biohazard box in LG23/24.
This is a reminder that these bags should be closed with either elastic bands (that are available from the washroom, Ext: 2301) or loosely taped with autoclave tape. They should never be fastened shut with cable ties.
If you could please remove the black cable ties from these bags at the earliest opportunity and replace with autoclave tape or elastic bands then they will be collected by the washroom, autoclaved and disposed of.
If any lab user has any questions regarding protocols and procedures in the lab that they are unsure of then lab management would always prefer that you contact us first before proceeding to see if we can assist. This will hopefully lead to best practice being followed.
