We are preparing the programme of work to recruit the final cohort of LISS DTPI students for October 2023 Entry. As per last year’s process, each student application for the LISS DTP Open Competition will be reviewed by two academic reviewers as part of a rigorous assessment process. We need in the region of 90 reviewers across the 3 HEI partners.
We would like to continue to widen the pool of reviewers to ensure that we have sufficient breadth of expertise and more diversity amongst the reviewers themselves, as well as to reduce the workload for existing reviewers (we expect a high number of applications this year based on previous statistics).
We would very much welcome the support of academic colleagues across King’s, Queen Mary and Imperial to review up to eight applications in your subject area. Participating in the process will enable you to offer better support for future applicants for those looking to supervise students.
Reviewing will involve scoring each application on two assessment criteria (student research potential and quality of the proposal) and writing short comments about each application you review. Applications will be pre-filtered by the LISS Administration Team to ensure that you do not receive incomplete applications and to ensure the applications you review meet our minimum entry requirements and no-one will be asked to review more than eight applications.
