Dear Colleagues, as you are aware, towards the end of last year we launched CPD Training – our new platform for recording and monitoring development activities for staff and post-graduate (PGR) students across Queen Mary.
This message explains how the new platform will support the mandatory training that we ask all members of staff to undertake.
All core mandatory training is now on CPD Training, which means that colleagues and managers can check up-to-date completion within the platform – including any mandatory training they haven’t done or any that are due for renewal.
You will find any outstanding mandatory training on your CPD home page. You can also view your mandatory training by clicking My CPD Training on the top menu then selecting the Mandatory Training tab.
Managers can check their team’s record in two ways:
• To view your whole team’s progress – go to Reportsand click the Mandatory Training Status (My Team). • To view individual colleagues, click Team on the top menu by selecting Records under the person's record you want to review:
For further guidance see CPD training page.

Updates to some courses:

In addition, the Protecting Your Research course has migrated to CPD Training. This course is designed to raise awareness of the risks to the University and individuals when conducting research and innovation activities with international partners. The course helps ensure that you meet relevant legal obligations and supports making informed decisions about research collaborations.
• This course is mandatory for academics, researchers and research-supporting Professional Services staff in Science and Engineering• Academics, researchers and research-supporting Professional Services staff in Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and Humanities and Social Sciences are encouraged to complete this training.
Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessment is not a course so cannot be transferred onto CPD training. However, completing the assessment remains a mandatory requirement. It can be accessed on MySafety Workstation Assessment Guidance.
Thank you for your continued commitment to compliance obligations.
If you have any questions about specific courses please get in touch with the relevant contact on the mandatory training pages.
