Max Biguet passes PhD viva

Congratulations to Max Biguet who passed his PhD viva voce on Wednesday 26 March.

Max’s thesis was on the PAF1 complex, its role in the innate immune response to viruses and how HIV targets it shortly after infection of cells.

His primary supervisor was Professor Áine McKnight, and his secondary supervisor was Dr Miguel Branco.

His examiners were Dr Pawel Grzechnik (University of Manchester), an expert in the mechanisms regulating RNA Polymerase II and co-transcriptional RNA processing, and Professor Sam Wilson (University of Cambridge), who is an expert in pathogen sensing and interferon signalling.

Many congratulations to Max, his supervisors and his colleagues.
