Please be reminded that staff and students should be mindful not to inadvertently let an unauthorised person enter the building, or 'tailgate' them, when accessing the building themselves.
All staff and students must have their own ID with security access to enter the building. If they are a guest, they must sign in at Reception and wait for the member of staff they are meeting to collect them. If they ask to be let in, please direct them to Reception, or ask them to remain outside while they contact the member of staff they are meeting. If Reception is closed or Security is unavailable, then the person will have to return during normal hours. Please remember that although you may want to be helpful to the person, you should also consider the risk to other members of the Institute.
