As part of London Higher’s ongoing commitment to supporting members to address antisemitism in higher education we will be hosting a 90-minute online training session with the Antisemitism Policy Trust. The session will be run by Danny Stone MBE, CEO of the Antisemitism Policy Trust and will focus on antisemitism; what it is, its roots, modern manifestations and on de-mystifying Jewish people.

Session Aims:

  • Increased understanding of who Jewish people are and the community in the UK.
  • Increased understanding of what antisemitism is, its scale and reach.
  • Knowledge about the different manifestations of antisemitism including but not limited to; conspiratorial, Holocaust denial, Israel and Zionism-linked.
  • Enhanced understanding of antisemitism online, its impact and pervasiveness.
  • An ability to determine antisemitism when one sees it and explain why something might be antisemitic.

There will also be opportunities to put questions to Danny throughout the session as part of an open and honest discussion around addressing antisemitism in higher education.

This session is free for all London Higher members. We are happy for you to share this opportunity with colleagues across your institutions and there is no limit to the number of participants from each London Higher member.
