Calling all postgrads! Do you know where to find your graduate study spaces – or the best coffee - on campus? We are running postgraduate campus tours, followed by a café social, for both Whitechapel and Mile End this January:
Both tours will last about an hour and be followed by a postgraduate café social (location t.b.a.). If you would like to attend, please register at this short form:
QMUL’s campus sites at Whitechapel and Mile End are full of spaces for postgrads to study, meet others, and unwind. At Mile End there is the brand-new, postgrad-only study zones in the main library; the gorgeous 7th-floor views of the City from the Graduate Centre, with relaxation, study, and kitchen facilities; or the cozy booths at Café Grad. All graduates also receive access to the QMotion gym facilities, Grind Café, and Drapers bar. Meanwhile at Whitechapel, the newly-refurbished Garrod building includes a brand-new café and socializing space in the gorgeous Old Library, with study spaces along the balcony, as well as student kitchens, fitness studios, and multi-faith facilities.
On this tour, we will walk you through everywhere you need to know to get the most out of your time as a postgraduate on campus at Mile End or at Whitechapel. From kettle-hunting so you can make a decent cup of tea, to finding your perfect working spot in one of our libraries, or the coziest cafes to meet a friend – we will cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your postgraduate experience.
We know many of you will be starting a busy new term back at your desk after the festive season, so feel free to come for as long or as little as you like.
If you would like to come, but can’t make these dates – don’t worry! Just fill out the form and keep an eye out for future events: if there is enough demand we will happily run more.
Take care and all the best,
Lily
