A contractor from the scaffolding company has reported that some staff have hung the blinds onto the scaffolding poles in an attempt to let more light into the building.
It is vital that staff do not manually alter the blinds or hang the blinds on the scaffolding. This is a serious health and safety concern as it adds extra weight to the scaffolding poles which could make them unstable and cause them to fall.
The contractor will be on site today to raise the blinds by approximately two metres which should help improve the natural light levels until the new blind motors are installed.
