You are invited to join Queen Mary's new East London Research Network, which is holding its first meeting (on Teams) on Wednesday 12 October from 2.00-3.30pm.
The Network will bring colleagues together across all faculties at Queen Mary who conduct research in East London. The Network aims to develop research collaborations, new partnerships and impact on East London in the past and present, including those that align with the priority areas in our Civic University Agreement: inclusive place-making; healthy and sustainable futures; pathways for life; Queen Mary as a cultural hub for East London; and enabling civic practice. The Network will also be closely aligned with the Mile End Institute's strategic focus on East London.
Postgraduate, postdoctoral and academic colleagues conducting research in East London in the past and present across all Schools, Institutes and Faculties are very welcome to attend. The first meeting will agree the frequency and focus of future meetings and other activities.
Please complete this short form (c.5 minutes) to outline your research interests and to indicate whether you can attend the Network's launch meeting and/or would like to be on the email list for future meetings. Please forward this to anyone else who might be interested and email me if you have any questions.
With best wishes
Professor Alison BluntDeputy Vice-Principal for Impact (Culture, Civic & Community)
