Pandemic Research Symposium
This event will showcase the research across the FMD and wider QMUL on the coronavirus pandemic such as response to the pandemic, mitigation, recovery process, and preparedness of future crisis.

Over the last 3 years, staff at Queen Mary have responded to the pandemic in so many ways, directing their expertise to understanding the coronavirus and COVID; evaluating new vaccines and treatments; and understanding its impact on our health and society.
This one-day research symposium, organized by the QM/FMD’s Crisis & Resilience Network, brings together academics from across the University to showcase their work and to celebrate the magnitude of our response. We will look back on the experience of delivering research in the pandemic, and look to the future for new collaborations, research, innovation and impact in pandemics and other impending global crises.
