We are pleased to announce that Sabrina Skeete has been appointed to the role of Blizard Professional Services EDI Representative, and will be joining the FMD EDI Committee in this capacity.
Institute EDI Representatives are engaged in promoting an inclusive culture across the Institute, ensuring that all voices from the Blizard community are heard and responded to. Sabrina will support Dr Tania Maffucci, the Academic Lead for EDI, and Dr Jack Rappoport, Deputy Academic Rep for EDI, in the implementation and delivery of the Faculty’s EDI strategy on behalf of the Blizard Institute.
Commenting on her appointment, Sabrina said: "I'm pleased to have the opportunity to support our community as Blizard Professional Services EDI Representative. I look forward to working with Dr Tania Maffucci and Dr Jack Rappoport to promote a culture which values diversity, inclusivity, and wellbeing.
Dr Tania Maffucci said: "I am delighted that Sabrina is joining the Blizard EDI Team. At the start of the anti-bullying and harassment campaign, I had the pleasure to work with her in discussion groups and she was instrumental in the establishment of the suggestion boxes in the Institute. I am very excited to have her on our team. I look forward to working with her and Jack to develop more initiatives to promote EDI values and in response to staff and student surveys.
