SSC1a & 2a Presentations - MARKERS NEEDED

We are now recruiting markers to help with the Year 1 and Year 2 SSC Presentations in London.

SSC2a sessions will be held online, whereas SSC1a will be back to its normal face-to-face format. – further information to be provided closer to the date.

Year 1 Poster presentations (February and March 2023):

  • Topic: ‘The scientific basis of modern medical practice’
    Students work in their FunMed PBL groups to create a poster on a specific medical topic that they will present (15/20 mins) to a marker. It should be an enjoyable and interesting opportunity to interact with our students. A second student group will join the session for the purpose of peer marking.

All sessions will be held at the Old Library, Garrod Building, Wednesdays 9am – 11am.

Year 2 Powerpoint presentations (January to March 2023):

  • Topic: ‘How do we treat disease? Current and future treatments’
    Students produce a 10-minute oral presentation looking at the current and future treatments of a chosen disease. You will be acting as the chair for a 2-hour session and grading up to 7 talks. Talks are 10 minutes with 5 minutes for discussion and changeover time for the next talk. There will be scheduled breaks in between presentation.

All sessions will be held ONLINE on Microsoft Teams, Wednesdays 11am – 1pm (dates tbc).
