Staff Survey 2023: Thank you for taking part

Dr Sharon Ellis, Chief Operations Officer, thanks all staff for participating in the Staff Survey and provides an update on next steps.

Published:

Dear colleague,

More than 3,600 of you have taken the time to share your experiences in Staff Survey 2023 (66% of eligible staff). I am very grateful to everyone who has shared their feedback. Congratulations to the Chief Governance Office, Strategic Delivery team and Planning team for achieving 100% participation in their respective areas.

We are committed to sharing and publishing the results of the survey within three weeks of the closure date. Work will then take place to refresh our action plans at both local and university level.

Following feedback received from Staff Survey 2022, we launched a programme of all-staff events with members of the Senior Executive Team. The next all-staff Strategy 2030 event will take place virtually on Tuesday 13 June, 1.30-2.30pm. You are invited to register your attendance to hear about:

•    University finances from Karen Kröger, Chief Financial Officer
•    the role of Council from Jonathan Morgan, Chief Governance Officer and University Secretary
•    strategic partnerships and our apprenticeships from Dr Philippa Lloyd, Vice-Principal (Policy and Strategic Partnerships)

Thank you again to everyone who has taken part in the staff survey. I would like to give a special mention to our Staff Survey Champions and colleagues who supported the staff survey drop-in sessions which took place across our campuses. Your input has been invaluable.

I am looking forward to the positive action we can take together to make Queen Mary an even better place to work for everyone.

Kind regards,
Dr Sharon Ellis
Chief Operations Officer
