The Queen Mary Bystander web page hosts a series of guidance and tools to help staff overcome bystander apathy, or "the bystander effect", when witnessing behaviour such as bullying and harassment.

These pages will explain more about the tools you can use, and when to use them. You'll then be able to try out these techniques in a number of scenarios based on real-life experiences. You can also download the content as a PDF file.
In addition, instructions on how to book the 90-minute The Queen Mary Bystander Workshop (which deals with more complex questions, such as what to do if you're delegated to, or how to respond if someone overreacts to a challenge) are also available on the web page.
If you have any questions please contact Tania Maffucci (t.maffucci@qmul.ac.uk).
