BHF's Alumni Voices 2023 series opens tomorrow with Nobel Prize winner and Queen Mary alumni, Sir Peter Ratcliffe in conversation with Professor James Leiper. The event can be joined in person at the Francis Crick Institute or online.
Professor Sir Peter Ratcliffe is a physician scientist who trained as a nephrologist, before founding the hypoxia biology laboratory at Oxford. His laboratory works on understanding how human and animal cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability. For this work he shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2019.
This unique, hybrid event will give an opportunity to hear from Peter, in conversation with James, Associate Medical Director at the British Heart Foundation, about his life and career.
