Please see below an update on the timetable of events happening on Friday 28 April.
**UPDATE**
Contractors will be laying cables around the lab from 7am on Fri 28 April. There will be NO access into the Blizard Building from the Goods and Passenger lift lobby after 7am Fri 28 April.
Everyone will now have to be out of the lab by 10am on Friday 28 April. The lights will be going off in 15 min intervals around the entire BUILDING (including meeting rooms) from 10am onwards as electrical cables are connected to the distribution boards. Only people that NEED to come in on that Fri morning ie. to feed cells, should be coming in. We will be expecting minimal foot traffic that morning.
From 10am anyone still in the lab will be asked to leave. Please do not expect to stay in the lab after this time as that will not happen. This is not the day to come in and run a quick Western!
The courtyard between the Abernethy and the QMB building will be closed for deliveries from Wed 26 April to allow for the accommodation of 2 generators and fuel tanks, plus boxes of cables etc. Please contact any companies that you are expecting deliveries from and ask that no deliveries take place between Wed 26 April to Fri 28 April. There will be no vehicular access into the courtyard on those days. Pedestrian access and emergency egress routes will be maintained at all times. The bike racks will still be accessible.
The Blizard laboratory management team will be onsite for the duration of this work. Any concerns or questions, please direct them to one of the team.
